Beverly Anderson lives about three miles from Lake Erie in Huron, Ohio. She and her husband have a small, four-acre farm that keeps them busy. They raise chickens, tend to fruit trees and berry bushes, and look after bee hives. Although their property is within city limits, they work to be as organic as possible. In her extra spare time, Beverly works at Mulberry Creek Herb Farm, an organic herb farm just down the road.
During her lifetime, Beverly has had many jobs, but sales and teaching have always been her passion. She started stamping some 20 years ago and has crafted for almost 30 years. This includes pottery, tole painting, and cross-stitch. In her opinion, she was creating mixed media before it was popular. Beverly found it easy to turn stamping into just that. In fact, she is still using DMC floss on some of today's projects.
She has been a sales rep for several companies and has had the privilege of traveling and demoing for Magenta, Dreamweavers, and Judikins. Beverly also worked at Stamplistic for 10 years which was lots of fun.
Bev’s secret passion is the Southwest. She lived in Santa Fe many years ago and loves to return back there. She has not once been disappointed. Every few years, she gets a calling for the food and the air, the warm dry landscape, sunsets and the best margaritas along with bowls of green chiles and pinto beans for breakfast.
Stampaway has always been her favorite show. Beverly feels it has the best vendors who help make it feel like a big family reunion every year. She considers them her worldwide extended family.
From Beverly: “Someday I will get to all those projects I have stored in my memory bank of life. My favorite saying is ‘Art is Life’ - I live it everyday and see art in everything I do.”
